Privacy policy
Last updated 24 October 2026
The short version: your shop's data stays on your computer. We only hold what we need to run your account, your licence and your subscription.
1.What stays on your computer
Your products, prices, stock, customers, bills, payments and staff logins are stored in a database on your own computer. We do not receive them and cannot see them.
2.What we collect from you
When you sign up: your name, email, phone number, password (stored hashed, never in plain text), business name, address, city, state, optional GSTIN, and the kind of shop you run.
When your till checks in: an installation ID, the computer's name, the software version, and the time of the check-in.
Daily usage totals: the number of bills and returns, the total sales amount, the number of active users and the number of products. These are totals only. They do not include customer names, item names or individual bills.
Payments: the amount, date, method and reference of subscription payments recorded against your account.
3.Why we use it
To create and secure your account, issue and verify your licence, manage your trial and subscription, send you service messages, keep the service working, and understand overall usage so we can improve the product.
We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising.
4.Who we share it with
Only with service providers that host or operate our online service on our behalf, and where the law or a legal process requires it. We do not share your details with other shops or third parties for their own use.
5.How long we keep it
We keep account and subscription records while your account is open and for as long afterwards as tax and accounting rules require. Usage totals are kept to show your account's history.
6.Security
Licences are digitally signed. Passwords are stored hashed. Because your shop data lives on your computer, keeping that computer, its login and its backups secure is up to you.
7.Your choices
You can ask to see, correct or delete the account details we hold about you. Contact us through your account. Deleting account details ends your subscription and licence; it does not touch the data on your computer.
8.Your customers' data
The customer details you enter into your till are yours. You decide what to collect and are responsible for handling it lawfully. Because it stays on your computer, we are not a processor of it.
9.Changes
If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will tell you in your account or by email before it applies.
